This listing includes a Scout + Bean Sapling Tray, a 12 ounce Everyday Mug from Howarth Hill Pottery in Berwick, Maine, and a bag of S+B coffee beans roasted by Precipice Coffee in Ellsworth, Maine. It makes a lovely housewarming, wedding, or holiday gift! (Note: A two-mug option is also available in the drop down menu for an additional cost.)
On a side street in Ellsworth, in a tiny little shop, sits Precipice Coffee’s zero emission, Bellwether roaster. The array of solar panels on the roof of their roastery power the entire shop, making them the most eco-conscious coffee roaster in the state of Maine. This coffee is an organic Peru Churupampa. It’s a medium roast, single origin coffee with tasting notes of fudge chocolate, grilled pineapple, and sticky toffee.
Tucked inside a mid-19th century post and beam barn in Berwick Maine, you will find Howarth Hill- small batch pottery. Ceramicist, Lindsey Howarth works with white stoneware clay to produce functional pottery that focuses on clean lines and classic forms. Her hand thrown pots balance an opaque creamy white glaze with the raw texture of stoneware and a fade of high gloss celadon-like glazes.
Classy and naturally beautiful, the Sapling Tray features a quarter-inch thick round, wooden base that is completely removable for cleaning up small spills or crumbs. The two copper handles make carrying easy. Sewn with a classic, white thread, The Sapling Tray measures 14 inches wide at the base, 3.5 inches tall, 18 inches wide at the brim, with two copper handles on either side, and a suede tab finish.
