I have fond, childhood memories of holiday dinners and sitting at a table full of home-cooked food. Without fail, my mother always chose a basket from her shelf, found a decorative dish cloth, and tucked the yeast rolls in like they were a dozen little babies. The Bread Basket pays homage to those warm memories from my childhood.
I am over-the-moon to be able to collaborate on this piece with fellow Midcoast maker and artist extraordinaire - Nina Devenney of Wild Rosie of Rockland, Maine. Nina hand dyes the 100% cotton tea towels and then has them printed in a neighboring Midcoast town, with her original illustrations. Her illustrations for these towels are inspired by vintage bandanas. Each towel is approximately 28 x 28 inches.
Each Bread Basket comes with your choice of one cotton towel. The ovular rope basket measures 14 inches long, 9 inches wide, and stands 4.5 inches tall. It’s pictured here holding a dozen rolls.
